Last week saw the announcement of the finalists for the 2021 AV News Awards and the team at One Digital Signage were extremely excited to discover we’d made the list in the Digital Signage Innovation category.

Of course, with innovation in digital signage sitting at the very heart of our business, it’s especially pleasing to be recognised in a category celebrating the best that the AV industry has to offer in this area.

The category and award are product-focused and look to highlight innovation shown by specific technologies developed over the last twelve months. Making the list alongside industry heavyweights such as Samsung and NEC, our finalist place comes as a result of our Outdoor LCD Screen Hand Sanitiser solution being identified as a stand out example of this innovation.

The Outdoor Hand Sanitiser solution, boasting IP65 waterproof rating and an integrated high bright 22″ LCD screen, was developed as a result of identifying and meeting the need for hand hygiene facilities in outdoor spaces.

Along with the full range of our infection control solutions, our Outdoor Hand Sanitisers are supporting under pressure businesses in keeping customers and staff safe through the Covid-19 pandemic.

With hospitality businesses looking towards their reopenings and hope for the resumption of outdoor events later this year, the importance of these devices is only set to increase.

Their potential for positive impact in relation to infection control and the general customer experience were summed up by One Digital Signage customer Chad Hudson – owner at the Loyal Lodge Hotel – following an install last year:

“When we came across One Digital’s Outdoor Hand Sanitiser, we hadn’t really seen a product like it before. The combination of a hand sanitiser dispenser with a digital media unit opened up numerous possibilities for us as our business reopened after lockdown.

“Because it can be installed outside, we were able to provide hand hygiene facilities at the door of our business, meaning from the moment customers walk in they’re confident we are investing in infection control and they are in a safe space.

“Where we have positioned the hand sanitiser outside our main entrance also means we can promote all of our menus and latest offers on the display, along with welcoming messages, which is a hugely useful marketing tool at a time when customers have been wary of returning to hospitality venues like ours.”

We’re looking forward to the award winner announcements on 4th February and ahead of then why not check out all of the finalists in our category and others by clicking here.

Cross your fingers for us!
